Re: WoD Beta General Discussion

DoC and BT are actually unintuitively mutually counterproductive.

Re: WoD Beta General Discussion

But it says in the tooltip ANY druid spell that doesn't deal damage. Growl is a non-damaging druid spell.

Re: Alpha Testing

Why will we be forced to use it on FB anyways? Won't we be pairing it with incarnation for "ravage" spam or just using it in aoe situations like we already do and fitting a ludicrous number of swipes in? Feral has rarely been afraid to sit on 5 CPs since FB has always been so lackluster.

Re: Alpha Testing

Originally I was very disappointed when considering that Combo Points would now be stacking on the player instead of the target, because I figured this was abandoning the most defining limitation of the system, and would have rather seen the mechanics the player can utilize to mitigate it improved. ...

Re: Alpha Testing

Anyone else worried that the return of hurricane opens up HotW as the only dps boosting talent of the 90 tier? Why even give that back to us? I just don't see the point. Since when were feral druids sitting around casting hurricane trying to pry people out of stealth? Why give us moonfire back inste...

Re: Alpha Testing

Yeah, the level 100 talents are kind of whatever, but they're functional. I predicted precisely this talent tier awhile ago, but suggested it would best be in t45, where these kind of rotation-amending talents would best fit into the curve of learning how to damage as the spec, and t100 should be mo...

Re: Alpha Testing

I suppose Blizzard expects us to talent Mass Entanglement for our PvE CC needs. It's only a 30 second cooldown and I guess I can see that working.

Re: Alpha Testing

I am very happy about the removal of barkskin and might of ursoc. I am extremely not happy about the removal of Entangling Roots. I am extremely happy with the removal of hibernate and scare beast. I'm extremely confused with the removal of lacerate and moonfire (they didn't affect button bloat). Al...

Re: Alpha Testing

Nature's Grasp always felt mildly odd-man-out to me, but it of course has some great uses in pvp. If we were to keep entangling roots and its current interaction with PS, then I can see the removal of nature's grasp. Either way, this is far too much stuff removed to be entirely intentional. Time wil...

Re: Alpha Testing

It was removed from Predatory Swiftness, it appears. The tooltip was deliberately changed to only Healing touch and Rebirth, meaning Hibernate, if still in, would need to be hardcast

Re: Alpha Testing

Shame, but not awful. Hibernate being a part of Predatory Swiftness is horrible in live PvP. Either way, it appears that is removed.

Re: Alpha Testing

You're probably right, but I can conceive very reasonable explanations from a Blizzard perspective why they would want to remove all of these. >lacerate unnecessary if hotw provides enough threat generation >moonfire unnecessary if lunar inspiration gives you moonfire in its place >removing entangli...

Re: Alpha Testing

I am very happy that barkskin and might of ursoc are gone. I always thought that the number of different actives we have for mitigation was pretty excessive, and lack of might of ursoc makes renewal more tempting, although it does hurt us in terms of offtanking. Removing lacerate is pretty silly, bu...

Re: Alpha Testing

Is that really a bug, though? Do you maintain the same secondary stats out of cat form that you have in cat form? You lose a substantial amount of agility if nothing else. This would dynamically alter the damage of your bleeds, would it not?

Re: Alpha Testing

Shifting out of cat form causes all active bleeds to lose a) the mastery benefit and b) the savage roar benefit. Please tell me, you are joking.. It would be possible to alleviate this with a stat floor snapshotting type mechanic, where dot damage updates dynamically but not below your base unbuffe...

Re: Secondary Stat Argument Clinic

Note that crit, haste, and multistrike also increase healing. Mastery is the only stat that doesn't. The damage reduction on versatility is unique though. Nor would have readiness in most cases. Potentially Feral potential healing output in raids will be rather exceptional... to the point of needin...

Re: Alpha Build 18297 Datamining

Dream of Cenarius and Bloodtalons are actually slightly antisynergetic because the latter makes it harder to use heals when they're needed. It's probably not too significant though. Certainly negligible if Blizzard is capable of ensuring the healing model where raid members are not nearly as often ...

Re: Alpha Build 18297 Datamining

Ferals will be expected to play that if they want to do Mythic raiding. Ferals are not gcd locked. You can still use predatory swiftness to heal even without Blood Talons. Strictly in terms of healing merits, each of the level 90 talents is a worthwhile choice depending on the situation. I don't th...

Re: Alpha Build 18297 Datamining

I think removing pounce and ravage is a step in the right direction. I still think ferals could stand to lose Might of Ursoc, Hibernate (and scare beast please!) and Soothe (possibly merged into Faerie Fire)

Re: Alpha Build 18297 Datamining

I imagine it would be easy enough for blizzard to qualify the bonuses with the prowl buff specifically as to fix anything broken about shadowmeld. Although, given Blizzard's track record with racials and feral-spec-ignorance, I would not be surprised to see it stay in. Pawkets is right, though. Impr...

Re: Alpha Build 18297 Datamining

can cats even be considered to have talons? Humans don't really have claws either, but you wouldn't be too surprised to find an unarmed monk attack described as such, right? Just evoking the wrath of nature, I suppose. Or maybe they'll alter the cat model to have hypogriff talons if we take the tal...

Re: Alpha Build 18297 Datamining

I'm so so happy. We get our DoC back, and pounce and ravage are cut, but this has some crazy implications. Since shred and rake cost a lot less energy than Ravage and Pounce, this is a very significant buff to Incarnation (read: overpowered?) not to mention that you could just start throwing 4 secon...

Re: Warlords of Draenor™ Alpha Testing Begins

How important are such things anyways? Are they reasonable distinctions between specs? They're relatively universal regardless. One would think you could just eliminate all things like this or if not somehow make them more distinct of the spec. in some ways glyph of cat played off our somewhat uniqu...
