If you import your character into SimulationCraft via the armory, you can try to tweak the APL to improve the simulated DPS using your own gear. If it is an improvement over the default feral APL, then you can certainly import it into Ovale.

FWIW, Ovale was modifed a few releases ago to suggest Tiger's Fury (or other similar off-GCD spells) when the previous GCD had ended so that it could be cast in-sync with the next ability and avoid losing time while the buff was active.

Your best bet is to run both addons and see the times when they disagree. That would point to flaws in one or the other and I'm sure either project would be happy to hear about bugs.

Speaking for Ovale, I can say that the SimulationCraft APL is almost exactly reproduced in the Ovale script for ferals.

I also miss the older format from the leafkiller script. As a result I also have up the addon "Claw" - which does not have any flickering issues AND is had the next ability box (predictive action).
