I am sure we can sim this. The issue you are describing is one of deciding to clip SRs at certain points in order to minimize the frequency it is cast. Bear form Thrash has a 2 second tick not 3 and lasts 16 seconds. I was surprised when I saw this on Wowhead...

Somewhat benign bug. The Savage Defense bar is shown in feral spec while in Bear form. Savage Defense is only available when in Guardian spec.

It would probably help to see the dps breakdowns so we can see all the side effects. This is consistent with what I have seen before, once you actually sim a fight you see all the small things that are slightly impacted by the change to the rotation. As we understand those better we could find some ...

The simc script had the emergency FB refresh a 2 seconds. I tested it at 2.9 seconds and moved it to the top of the script with no dps loss (maybe 30dps higher) at 25k iterations. Next time I release the script I will make that change.

I don't suppose you have an environment setup so you can compile and run Simulationcraft and test those changes. I intentionally never setup a dev environment for Simulationcraft because I am trying to avoid spending too much time on it.

I just don't know how well that is handled in Simulationcraft, nor do I know what would happen if I put into a script a shift to bear form followed by a bear thrash. As insta said that i'd like to see a change on also, When we'r @ 3th Combo Point and SR is off or just has 1-1,5 sec wouldn't it be better to throw a HT in case you Proc PS on 3rd CP the DoC will most likely not hit 5th CP anyways for a finisher and i do believe it would be a greater DPS lost overw...

Aggixx simmed Multitarget and determined Rake was better than swipe with less than 8 targets. His AOE script is in the first post of the simulationcraft thread.

I think the napkin math is severely underestimating the actual cost. The likely time when you would want to swap forms is the same time where you would want to use fillers to 5 combo points, hit FB and get a refund of 20 energy due to SotF.
