Value of 2 piece LFR bonus
Where do you guys think is the value of 2 piece LFRset (100 Agi)? Assuming 4 pc T17 bonus is kept it will beat nhc items but is it competitive to hc gear also?
Re: Value of 2 piece LFR bonus
What are you asking? And I'm not sure what nhc, or hc is...Myxxin wrote:Where do you guys think is the value of 2 piece LFRset (100 Agi)? Assuming 4 pc T17 bonus is kept it will beat nhc items but is it competitive to hc gear also?
If you are asking if the LFR 2 set is valuable enough to keep over normal Blackrock Foundry loot, I would say no, assuming you have access to all of the tier items.
So if you have the chest, gloves, legs, and shoulders from normal, I see no reason to keep or pursue the haste / mulitstrike helm for example and/or any another piece ( 6pcs of tier in LFR?).
Just looking at the itemization of the helm for example.. haste / multistrike isn't going to beat out normal Acidic Jaws with Crit / Vers and 20 more agi...
Re: Value of 2 piece LFR bonus
I mean at belt and feet slot having the 2 pc LFR bonus extra. 100 agi beat 670 items but with 685 I'm not sure.
Re: Value of 2 piece LFR bonus
By beat them, are you suggesting that you've run them through Simcraft?Myxxin wrote:I mean at belt and feet slot having the 2 pc LFR bonus extra. 100 agi beat 670 items but with 685 I'm not sure.
Edit: If you sim'd the set and it is in fact reporting higher overall DPS compared to having two 670 pieces than roll with it... It would just surprise me that the +100 agi would really provide that much of a boost.
Re: Value of 2 piece LFR bonus
Simmed against my 691 gloves and 685 feet the 2 LFR pieces are only 300 dps behind.
So against 2 670 items the LFR set bonus is always better.

You may be on to something.
I do not know the pieces, if you were able to link the specific LFR/670/685 pieces you are looking at.
It might be a dps increase if you aren't able to get heroic gear, because the 100 agility you gain from the 655 items might outweigh the agility you get from 670 upgrades just by nature of ilvl value.
You also have to take into consideration the value of the secondary statistics.
You can boil down all items (essentially) into their stat values, create a numerical value, and compare. That's essentially what a stat priority table shows you. That is, how much DPS a single stat point will give you.
You simulate your character's stat priority in simulationcraft. You can then multiply those values by the amount you get with the set of gear and afterwards find the sum.
(The agility of the 655 items * agility's dps conversion) + (secondary statistics * their conversion) + (100 agi bonus * agility's dps conversion) = a value (x)
then you do the same for the other pieces
(the agility of the 670/685 items * agility's dps conversion) + (secondary statistics * their conversion) = a value (z)
if x > z, then the 2 piece LFR would net more dps (at a loss to survivabilty, because stamina isn't factored in)
if z > x, then the 2 piece LFR would net LESS dps.

I would be interested and seeing what you find, if you want to calculate that and share what you find.

Here is my armory link: http://eu.battle.net/wow/de/character/a ... n/advanced
By the way, the LFR set has an ilvl of 660 and I think it has also a chance to be warforged or to have a socket.
Maybe I will run more sims tomorrow.

Re: Value of 2 piece LFR bonus
Today I calculated the values according to my stat weights from Simcraft.
I have chosen 2 670 items with crit/multi and mastery/multi.
Compared to 2 piece LFR the 670 items (3977,3) are indeed behind the LFR items (4244,3).
I could imagine that also some 685 item combinations with bad secondaries will be behind but this is something that should be simed for the individual gear.
