Oh damn, that's probably my mistake. I'll fix this weekend (possibly tomorrow), Catus will notify you when I make the change.
Thanks, my feral kitty is an alt I don't know how to play all that well, lol. I'm like, I'm not supposed to use a 2H Mace? Crap, already equipped it....so confused. Thank you for the time and effort you've put into Catus. Take care!

Ah, you're a Monk! I kept trying to input you into Catus :P

By chance, could you equip the helm, make sure your armory is refreshed (by checking the website until it updates), and then save a copy of the text from this link:
http://eu.battle.net/api/wow/character/ ... elds=items

Blizzard recently added sockets to those helms but I never saw an example of the new helm.

I got a bunch of minor updates for Catus:
- T16 support
- RPPM reset (0 mins, 1 min, 2 mins, 5 mins, 16 mins)
- Fixed Malcontent/Crimson Helm (meta + random suffix), and Tidesplitter helm (recent hotfix)
- Druids can now use 2H mace
- Updated Resilience Calculation
- Socket Borders
- Included new PTR gear
- 1:1:1 can now respect empty gems (if you don't have max profession, don't want a belt buckle, or don't have Eye of Black Prince)
- "preferIPv4Stack" issue fixed by default
- Editable Recent List
I'm going to play a bit with Aggixx's new action list and then update Catus to v13. Also, I added audit warning to Zephyrus + gear/ptr changes from above.

Edit: I also updated my ptr gear list:

I'm currently getting a problem where "None of the hit/exp solutions met your criteria. Try increasing the overflow or reducing the gaps" whenever I ask Zephyrus to not change gems. Any idea why this may be? I tried messing with the overflows and gaps to no avail.

Other settings include:
All enchants unchecked, gems set to expertise only/stamina only (although that shouldn't matter), and hit at least 2550, expertise at least 5100.

Just downloaded v14 of Zephyrus and when importing from armory it takes 5-10mins. Once that is done starting any reforging the program freezes completely and has to be ended via task manager. Just me? v13 worked fine can I get a download link for that one at least?

Would you ever consider adding the ability to add and remove gear to Zephyrus like you can do for Catus? Sure would be nice to be able to build a gear set for a maximum Mastery proc from RoR for a Monk like you can for a Druid.

Ignore my ignorance I didn't realize how to edit the setup but now I do there just isn't a gui so ya it works fine as usual thanks for everything!

Hi Guys

Finally got around to looking at getting the reforge set for optimal rune but I've ran into troubles trying to launch Cactus.

The command window opens up when opening the Catus.jar but flickers away again about half a second later with no effect.
After a few goes, I was able to grab a screenshot of what is displayed (apologies for the clarity of the image, there really isn't much time to grab an image)

Image

Any ideas on whats going on here?

Can you open up a cmd prompt, cd to the Catus directory, and then enter: "java -jar Catus.jar"
This will keep the console window open when Catus launches.
Also, can you try launching Catus with: "java -cp Catus.jar catus.Main"

From that error, I can't tell what is happening without seeing the stuff above.

Running the first line just errors on me, I get the feeling I'm not putting the command in correctly. Assuming the Catus.jar file is in D:\Users\NewUser\
what would the command have to be?

Also, I don't have the second file you mention. All the download contained was .DS_Store, Catus.JAR and Readme.txt

1. open cmd
2. "d:"
3. "cd Users"
4. "cd NewUser"
5. "java -jar Catus.jar"

Doing the same thing, but change the last step to: "java -cp Catus.jar catus.Main"
(this doesn't require an additional file)

Then copy me whatever it dumps out and I can probably fix the issue.

BTW, did you have the problem with previous versions of Catus?
Try: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/298 ... tus12b.zip

The error is

'java' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file

If I add "java -jar Catus.jar" with quotation marks the error is the same, just reads the full name.

I have the updated version of JRE.

Is it possible this is a Windows 7 thing? The CMD window automatically has D:\Users\NewUser> at the start and retyping that path name followed by java -jar Catus.jar causes no reaction.

Have just tried the previous version with the same results.

It apparently isn't able to find java.exe in your search path:
http://www.java.com/en/download/help/path.xml

Without making the above change, you can address "java" directly by entering it's full path:
"C:\path\to\java -jar Catus.jar"

It would be pretty cool if you made a crit as the highest stat an option, actually.
However, atm, I wanted to try mastery as my highest stat for a DA zerg. Is it actually not possible w/o changing gems?

Edit: It gives the same error w/ expertise set at least 2550. I think there must be an issue somewhere?

I broke the "Find Bounds" feature in the last update somehow, but when this feature is working it shows your Min/Max's with your current gear purely via reforging and then with gems/enchants removed.
Hit 1449 6774
Expertise 2895 8335
Mastery 3733 9123
Haste 5132 10570
Crit 9353 14833

w/o Gems and Enchants:
Hit 1449 6774
Expertise 2255 7695
Mastery 3613 9003
Haste 3042 8480
Crit 5124 10604
Without changing gems and enchants, your lowest possible crit is 9353, which is probably too high to get a 1:1:1 reforge for mastery.

I will definitely consider doing the 1:1:1 for Crit or Haste, possibly I can add that feature tonight and open up Zephyrus to Brews and Rogues.

Ah, thanks, fixed for next version. I think if you resize the window (making it larger than the minimum) it prevents the fields from being compacted. I forgot to include the audit warning in the window size calculation.

Also, next Zephyrus has Crit/Haste 1:1:1 support and will support Brews and Rogues.

That's got the command prompt working but trying to launch Catus.jar through the shortcut still brings up the previous problem. It's not a major issue now that I can access the reforge tool but if you've got a bit of spare time to look into it, that would be great.

Hi I am http://eu.battle.net/wow/en/character/k ... a/advanced
just wanna say thanks again for this tool, last time I wrote in this thread I didn't have the rune but the tool seemed to work well.
I've had rune for a couple weeks now and Zephyrus did reforging/gemming marveously until I replaced my hit(valor) belt last night with heroic ji-kun expertise belt. Now I am in a situation where I can't really use expertise gems since I will be overcapped.

I'm fiddling atm with the range on expertise/hit and with a bigger range such as 100 it gets 38+5 hit+expertise off where as with a low range such as 10 it gets me 10+5 hit+expertise off and I loose the 28 equal points in haste+crit+mastery and they are still within 1 of each other. Why wouldn't the tool favor getting close caps? Should I use the broad range reforge for higher dps or closer range?
One reason I could see for this is there is some agility loss I can't see so I have two solutions to propose:

1. Put an Agility "counter" next to secondaries, so we can see if we are loosing something. It can just be agility from gear only - I assume this is because the tool was only for reforge not for gems/enchants in the start.
2. In compare to armory there is a stat difference that is a bit confusing or redundant, if this one showed clearly what stats we were loosing or gaining I might know which range to use: Image

Anyways thanks for the tool hope you can help me.

I'm not sure if I understand your problem. Zephyrus is designed around having choice in where to put your hit/exp. It is respecting whatever hit/exp settings you have, and then maximizing the value of the proc accordingly.

If you say Hit/Exp "At Least" 2550, it will maintain that. But since it's trying to maximize the proc, it will obviously choose values very close to 2550 because anything else would have a smaller proc. If you say "Near" 2550, it will consider all values within 2550 (say range is 50) so [2500, 2600] but, since it's trying to maximize the proc, it's going to favor low values. If you say "At Most", will never go above this value, but again, since it's trying to maximize the proc, it will prefer smaller values.

Range doesn't do anything beyond define how far from the specified Hit/Exp value is acceptable.

I believe you can see the Agility delta by hitting "Minimize Cost". For the most part, I think you can trust the bracketed [score] that appears in the solution menu to say if one solution is better than another.

For find differences, the stats on the left is what your "losing" and the stats on the right is what you're "gaining" (and they are mirrors of each-other.)

Well that seems a bit redundant, I thought it was trying to work like the armory reforge compare but good to know just to look at the right side.

I can't see the agility delta by hitting Minimize cost, but I can open the armory compare for each option to check difference I guess. (although I'd love to have an agi counter next to the other stats)

How exactly is the score calculated? I tried with different ranges and it doesn't seem obvious to me why some of the options have better scores.

Range 10 - 43361
http://i.imgur.com/yAgSdnk.png

Range 50 - 43477
http://i.imgur.com/gAxTitv.png

Range 500 - 43702
http://i.imgur.com/wSgirti.png

None of the options are above cap since that's a waste of stats so they are easy to compare:

Between r10 and r50 you take away 70 exp+hit, 0 agi to gain 96 on the proc - you gain 116 score.
Between r50 and r500 you take away 71 exp+hit, 80 agi to gain 308 on the proc - you gain 225 score.
I can't imagine that the proc is so good it's worth loosing hit/exp so why is the score higher? Hope I'm not being too stupid here! :P
