Losing BS is bad. I think it sucks. It doesn't make SI any worse though. We already had 2 charges.

I've been playing with Cenarion Ward as my Barkskin bind, and it's a reasonable replacement (except for the GCD which requires spamming the ability until it activates.) But I agree -- losing BS sucks -- however it's way too early to tell.

I love the combo point change. It feels great being able to choose my target freely. Tossing Rips onto high-HP targets makes our cleave enjoyable. Rake all the things! No wasted CPs means we maximize finisher value (PS, SotF, DoC/Bloodtalons.) We have so many options now (although I worry Patchwerk might be a bit boring.) I suspect there will be a lot of potential for theorycrafting regarding the proper multi-target rotation. Our mobility + being able to open with a 5pt Rip on an add, takes us from being the worst target swapper to one of the best. The SR glyph seems a bit too mandatory. <3 Prowl perk, however 10sec Prowl feels archaic.

I actually have a lot of empty binds for now, I went with binding Shred to both my mangle and shred binds on live because they are so different(mangle is "2" Shred is "F") so I don't think I could ever find a bind to replace mangle. An entire row of my Logitech G600 is gone since I don't have BS/MoU/Symbiosis, i'm not sure I can find anything to go there at all unfortunately.....


Gameplay-wise I definitely like the pandemic effect on bleeds+SR, it alleviates a lot of my issues where SR has 5-8 seconds left and i'm at 5cp's and energy is near cap, I don't feel bad about wasting that SR time anymore since it just rolls that time into the new duration.

Playing around with the dummies I definitely like the way keeping Rip up on 2 targets feels now as compared to live. On alpha I can fully extend the Rip duration on one target and switch to the opposite target as opposed to live, where when we tank Dark Shamans together it is this weird cycle where I apply Rip, then immediately switch to the opposite target to get a new Rip going on that one and hopefully get back to target #1 before Rip falls off so I can apply the extensions and not waste the combo points. It feels much more fluid on alpha when i'm not constantly playing catch-up or wasting either CP's or potential rip uptime. It's a small thing to think about, but the Rip extensions have always been a bother to me, particularly on target swapping/cleave fights where It feels like a hassle to handle them. With the change it just feels better, less of a hindrance and more of a bonus.

As a side note, Blood in the Water is going to extend Rip to the 130% duration in a later build, very nice. I would still like to see it preserve the Rip extentions though, on fights like Heroic Garrosh where I have to get off the boss for whirling, it is sort of frustrating to bite only to have Rip actually lose duration right before I have to run out. A small gripe to be sure, and it will certainly be less of a hassle since if it falls off by accident I won't be losing a big snapshot as a result.

I agree with you Kraineth, and Edgy too. There is plenty to be excited about in the coming days.

Kraineth, I believe the BitW mechanic which "eats" the extensions is a technical limitation. Hitting FB literally recasts Rip as if you hit the button, it just took the snapshot of the current Rip before doing it. It doesn't have a way to track the extensions (as evidence by the bugs involved with it). In all honesty I think the extension of Rip as a mechanic has outlived it's purpose. In the olden days it was the reason you had to use Shred instead of just Mangle cause it was the only one who gave the extension (and a glyph). Then it became baked into Shred in Cata, and finally was merged into Mangle when it lost the bleed buff to it. Now that Shed is all we have there is no reason to incentivize using it. Either just add the extra 6 seconds to Rip, or take it away (more likely due to Pandemic).

I haven't had a chance to try this, but I wonder does Cenarion Ward actually heal for more then Rejuv (buffed and unbuffed by DoC) pre tick? I mean with DoC having a Rejuv up on the tank always would seem to be a better option cause at least that healing is proactive.

I would like to see the 6 seconds just taken out if anything, timer's have gotten pretty long as it is

Not having a single ability to use while stunned really sucks. Making SI usable while stunned would be too good though.

Need something to replace the loss of symbiosis/barkskin at the expense of an SI charge, imo.

Item - Druid T17 Feral 2P Shred critical strikes reduce the cooldown of Berserk by 5.
Item - Druid T17 Feral 4P While Berserk is active, special attacks cause a Gushing Wound on the target. Gushing Wound deals 15% of the damage of the special attack to the target over until cancelled.

2 piece is underwhelming (read: bad) with Incarnation because it desynchronizes, otherwise its cool. Can't make any complaints about the 4p and its synergy with the 2p is very nice as well well. Also there's this since I wasn't sure if it would work on bleeds (it does). The bleed spell is here and currently lasts 6 seconds with a 2 second tick interval (not that it matters all that much, just for those curious).

They've already been going down the "ferals gonna love that crit gear" road for a couple builds now so having 1 more thing that encourages it doesn't really surprise me much.

Edit: Maybe of note is that there is a "Not usable in arena" flag on the bleed spell from the 4 set bonus. Might not mean anything though, I've seen spells with nonsensical flags on them before.

Edit 2: The 4pc is a bleed so there's potential for it to scale with mastery? It would be a double dip which means theres a good chance they would intentionally disallow that, but if they allowed it it could be pretty cool, and I mean that in the most objective way possible. It would certainly give mastery a bit of a boost in value but given that you're not going to have anything higher than 12-15% Berserk uptime I don't think it would be unreasonable.

Although I suppose if they intended the bleed to scale with anything they probably would've picked a smaller value than 15%, as its fairly obvious if you do some simple math that 15% is fairly strong even without Razor Claws, Savage Roar, or TF applying to it.

I added the new 2p and 4p to Catus and have been playing with them a bit (still using MoP model though.)

I modeled Gushing Wound as a 3-tick 2sec/tick DoT, where special damage (direct and bleed damage) is distributed over the 3-ticks evenly. I made it so the DoT doesn't scale with anything (so it works like the Multistrike proc.)

For Rune + HT:
- 2pc is worth about 1.25%
- 2pc+4pc is worth about 3.5%
- Gushing is about 2% of damage done

For Rune + AoC:
- 2pc is worth about 2%
- 2pc+4pc is worth about 5.5%
- Gushing is about 3% of damage done
- Berserk effectively is ~70sec CD (7 Berserks in a ~7.5min fight)
(this would feel awesome in-game)

Note: The action list is still enforcing TF alignment w/Berserk.

Overall, I don't think this means much since I'm not taking most of the WoD changes into account.

Wouldn't the 4 piece conflict with Tiger's fury being unusable with berserk though?

Yeah, (assuming you're talking about the TF/Berserk alignment issue) I just meant that enforcing the alignment means that you can only use Berserk when TF is available. So depending on when Berserk's cooldown expires due to 4pc benefit, there might be situations where you can just burn Berserk w/o TF and produce better DPS. I don't know how much Readiness we'll be able to accumulate (probably not AoC-ish amounts) and WoD crit rates are much lower than [588] MoP gear.

I think Readiness will still be available in chunks on trinkets or jewelry. IIRC on Alpha, my cowcat is wearing two blue trinkets with +55(?) Readiness.

I don't think they have moved the Alpha to a build yet that has Readiness gone. I believe when we see Versitility show up all but some select raid trinkets will have "cooldown reduction".

I only got to play the build that was put up friday for a few minutes, but versatility was in, pretty sure my readiness pieces had something different on them as well.

The SoO trinkets had been changed to readiness/Multistrike rating on the previous build as well. It is probably pretty likely that the SoO CDR trinkets will just be changed to a random secondary stat like what they did with Unheeded Warning since the items are really no longer relevant.

Swipe is currently generating an additional combo point for each target it crits.

The Primal Fury tooltip hasn't changed, so this could be unintentional. If it's deliberate, however, it could be an interesting way to improve our sustained AoE capabilities.

They said a while ago that Primal Fury would be changed to give an extra CP if swipe crits on the current target. If it's giving a CP for crits on ALL targets I'm sure that's a bug.

I thought of something lately, since we got a new "Savage Roar" Glyph that makes us get a free 54 sec SR when going out of stealth, will that make us able to easily holding Savage roar up while using incarnation by just prowling into stealth at the begining of incarnation before using burst and at the end of it, without loosing track of savage roar or bleeds which could be a problem before, this will probably be a dps lost since it is a short burst and need beserk with it to work effectively, but may certain encounters be usefull, and also since Rake will act like current pounce it could be a easy way to put bleeds up at multiple adds while keep interrupt certain abilities if that would occur, but yeah compared to the other talents this would probably be a dps loss, but could be taken to advantage in maybe some situations in the future, if it will work! : )

You actually don't even need to go into stealth to get the free SR and all other stealth benefits. Rake will also stun any time you use it during Incarnation and shred will do the extra damage.
