Challenge Mode gear

Post by ShmooDude » Sun Nov 30, 2014 12:33 pm

What do you guys think our gearing strategy should be for these as feral?

There is a lot of trash, but there's a decent amount of single target too.

Crit > Mastery > Multistrike >> Versatility >= Haste

Or would mastery outweigh it enough to try and get it on most pieces?

I'd just use a "balanced" stat prio that's also mentioned in Pawket's guide, which is:

Crit > Mastery >= Multistrike > Versatiltiy > Haste

Yup, the goal should be crit/mastery on every single piece you possibly can. You could probably make an argument on whether crit is superior to mastery or vice versa but I don't think there's any flexibility regarding the other stats.

When I go for cm golds I will be just going bear for trash and cat for bosses because thrash spam > cat

sadly I really do think going guardian for trash will be the way to go. I'd need to talk to a few bear buddies but I will honestly probaby have a boss set of gear and a trash set of gear for golds. I'm not sure which stat is best for DPS for bears. Mastery seems strong but so does haste and crit.

While I don't have any golds yet (haven't legitimately tried) and have only run each CM a few times, I feel pretty competitive with a complete Crit/Mastery set. I don't have any experience going Guardian for trash but I don't foresee any problem completing them as Cat. I think the key is just having a solid DK or Monk tank, knowing the proper strategies, and executing.
