Should be fine if you don't have the legendary cloak on your character, but the AoE the legendary provides invaluable. Its one of the most valuable items in the entire equipment set.
Venustoise wrote:and also the http://www.wowhead.com/item=86879/gao-r ... -protector and shoulders and headpiece show that its raidfinder quality, is there a reason for that because it scales better? or is it best to get the heroic/mythic version?
Difficulty doesn't matter, the downscaling follows the same rules as the up (or down)scaling due to difficulties so it all cancels out in the end.
Venustoise wrote:and isnt thisone better? http://www.wowhead.com/item=50735/oathb ... er-general ty for this list! im currently getting all the items :D i dont know what gems i should use cuz there are alot the same :|
Oathbinder is close but not quite better unless you don't have access to all the legendary stuff.
Venustoise wrote:Edit: ive just tested this with trinket chest neckless weapon but i dont see any increase in dps atall, i still dont have all the items but the ones i have are enchanted and gemmed, im using the staff i mentioned above, any enchant for it? or is mark of the thunderlord best for it?
Mighty Agility, the enchant wasn't showing in the tooltip in the OP for some reason, not sure if its fixed now or what. If you're enchanting & gemming there definitely should be an increase, although you might not be able to notice it very easily since timewalking dungeons aren't a very controlled environment. Also if you're breaking set bonuses to put on the new chest you might want to hold off on that until you've got all the set-slot pieces.
Arctagon wrote:Is the stage 4 ring really better for timewalking than the legendary ring? Also, I take it the items under ‘BC’ are BiS for Burning Crusade timewalking along with the rest of the set under ‘WotLK’?
Ironically that's there more of a coincidence than on purpose, but yeah its better I'm pretty sure. The legendary ring effect scales by item level so when it gets scaled down to the timewalking item levels it doesn't really do anything, so the agi buff is a lot better.

Is it, though? I might have been unlucky, but when I did timewalking dungeons previous week, it didn't proc that often, and when it did, it didn't do a whole lot of damage. It was responsible for less than 1% of my damage, I think, the few times I checked the damage metre.

I'm had good luck with Mirror in Timewalking. Mirrors should provide consistent value since the pets themselves only scale from your stats.

Seed might not be very good if the percentage value on the buff continues to scale down with ilevel. (Same thing Aggixx mentioned with the legendary ring.)

Footpads of impending death have 3 more agi when scaled also Seed is awful in TW. From what I remember it increases bzrk by about 1 second. When I tank or dps I use mirror + void heirloom trinks.

Footpads of Silence have 3 less agility but 6 more secondary stats, they are very very close in value. Impending Death are slightly because 1 agi is better than 2 haste.

And yeah Mirror should be really good, haven't tried it myself but I don't see why they wouldn't be.

i got 7 trinkets now and looking for the best 2:

http://www.wowhead.com/item=124224/mirr ... &bonus=563 (not gemmed yet! should i go +75 multistrike?)
http://www.wowhead.com/item=47464/deaths-choice
http://www.wowhead.com/item=77530/ghost-iron-dragonling (with [+38 crit] [+38 crit] [+38 haste])
http://www.wowhead.com/item=128318/touch-of-the-void

im using heroic Soul Capacitor and Seed of Creation for raiding, and Humming Blackiron Trigger but they shouldnt be good in timewalking.

edit: am i doing something wrong? i do more dmg with my heroic hfc gear than with your gearlist fully gemmed and enchanted :/

you should wait for the official update by pawkets if you want to be 100% sure, i was also looking for an update so i made this list.
lfr-normal-heroic-mythic doesn't matter. they scale down to the same stats.
enchants should be agility and multistrike since you cant find that stat on lower items. crit multi is bis (but im lacking energy regen imo)
i couldn't find how to put enchants and gems in the items so ill update when i found out how, untill then:

this is also great if they dont scale down:

so far i have been trying out previous bis gear and i did less dmg than with hfc heroic gear. dunno if im doing something wrong..
anyway i hope pawkets will come with a list or adjust thisone abit!

I hope to update for Cata timewalking sometime closer to 6.2.3 launch, Wowhead doesn't support Cata timewalking scaling yet which makes assembling the list magnitudes easier.

as darkmoon card is hard to get, I go with WoD/MoP alchemy trinket (or maybe malicous censer also), it's procng rate is nice and often compare to many other trinkets

Updated for Cata dungeons, although seems wowhead is having a hard time serving tooltips atm so you have to click the links to see the items.

I'm confused about the cata timewalking list. I'm new to timewalking so it's likely that I'm just misunderstanding how it works. The Cata BiS list is just the WotLK list with 3 replacements, leaving a lot of gear that is below ilvl 300. Does this gear get scaled up to ilvl 300 or something?

It doesn't get scaled up, but there aren't any better alternatives. The best pieces for timewalking are generally the ones that have many sockets and bizarre budgeting (often less stamina for more DPS stats). Item budgeting is almost entirely normalized across the board post-WotLK, and items (especially MoP onward) tend to have fewer sockets as well.

How strong is Ghost Iron Dragonling compared to Agile Retinal Armor with another combination of trinkets / T16 pcs? (I have all 5 pieces of T16 still sitting in my bank)

What about using both, with two 42 crit, one 42 mastery and two 38 crit cogs?

Edit: I noticed the post about the 502 ilvl being the minimum for legendary meta. That explains it (indirectly)

I would also like to know why the BiS list calls for multistrike enchants instead of crit. I'm so used to buying crit that it totally slipped my mind and I spent 2k gold on crit enchants. lol

I just found out almost every Timewalking BiS I see around for other classes have the WoD Immaculate Taladite gem of their matching stats for their legendary cloak.
(I thought that maybe epic quality gems don't get scaled down when in a legendary item, but then saw that other legendary items aren't gemmed with those, so I really didn't understand why. I'm layman :P And on top of that I'm still trying understand SimCraft)

So, I'm here to ask if gemming Fen-Yu with an http://www.wowhead.com/item=127760/imma ... e-taladite really works?

Thanks :)

According to wowhead, it would scale down to 20 crit, but it *should* work.

The question is, based on the fact that the recommended enchants are Gift of Multistrike, would you maybe want the Multistrike gem instead?

Yes I thought about that too, I'm not sure about it. I just pointed at the Crit because all other gems on the BiS are Agi/Crit too while only the enchants are Multi; but yep.. Maybe. ;)

Crit is better than multistrike until the soft crit cap (52%) and it just so happens that if you gem all crit you end up right around there, so (with pre-WoD gear) its best to enchant all multistrike. If you can use WoD gems you can gem multistrike & enchant crit if you want, but you still want to be crit capped.

None of the item links are working. Can you add the gems you used in the original post?

In preparation for the Timewalking event starting tomorrow (EU) I was wondering about the TW BIS list in light of the recent changes like legacy set bonuses no longer working, gem sockets change to prismatic on all gear and artifact weapon.

Strategy is still to look for more sockets and socket with +10 Agi gems (like http://www.wowhead.com/item=32194/delic ... son-spinel) or +20 Crit gems (like http://www.wowhead.com/item=32205/smooth-lionseye) or mix agi/crit gems (like http://www.wowhead.com/item=32222/deadly-pyrestone) ?

For trinkets I reckon http://www.wowhead.com/item=124224/mirr ... bonus=1801 is still best, but what is it worth pairing with if I'm not an engineer and don't have the greatness deck?

Edit: almost forgot, since there is no more multistrike as a stat, prioritised enchants should be crit too?

It depends on what talent build you go for. I am enchanting everything with Versatility and using Blood Scent to hit the crit cap a lot easier. Using Incarnation and Brutal Slash in the upper tiers. I have the Thrash legendary wrists and the Artifact weapon. The only 'old tier' I am using is the MoP Helm/Shoulder so I can still use the fancy gem in the helmet. That's about it

So I was doing world quests in guardian spec with the class order hall set (full 8 pieces) equipped, and queued for Timewalking as tank (faster queue times ftw). Apparently, while Timewalking, the set bonuses are not scaled properly; so the 4-set bonus +500 Agility and 8-set bonus +2000 Mastery proc is giving full stats, no reduction.

Pretty much breezed through the dungeon, needless to say. It will most definitely be nerfed soon, however...
