Our strongest aspect this expansion has been our single target DPS while our AoE is inferior to a lot of classes making mythic+ not as viable as some other classes out there. Do you think this will drag our single target DPS below most, considering Rip is our highest damage source?

This will be a massive nerf for us. I have also noticed that as a class we are not scaling very well. I've been at or around 300K DPS for around 10 ilvls now with hardly noticeable improvement. All of the guild are catching me up quickly on the DPS.

Not only does this Nerf RIP, it gimps our primary Artifact Trait and my choice of Relics in said artefact. I’m glad I started my levelling my Shammy.

Oh yeah, tooltips can't be fixed with hotfixes, they need to launch some actual patch for it, guess that's what it is.

Actually they can. If you do the math, you'll note that its the 960% for a 5 CP rip and not 1461.6%. However, the datamined information can only be updated on an actual patch. That's why you always take datamined changes with a grain of salt.

EDIT: In case it wasn't clear, 960% is already on live via hotfix and can be verified in game. It's only the game FILES that have to be updated and that's why datamining shows it as a change. There is NO change to current DPS.

Yeah this'd be a massive bummer. I'm not exactly topping the charts (top 5 on exclusively single target fights like Nyth), but I'm on par with the rest of my guildies in raid (other than our OP as hell hunters...) because of Rip. Thrash and Swipe are just too dang expensive, so I'm really reliant on my single target to keep up...

Locking the thread so it causes no more confusion. There is no Rip Nerf, just a tooltip update from the massive Black Saturday roll back in August.
